I hate to say it but the swedish weather is telling me that we’re enjoying the last straw of the summer that was 2010. Only positive thing is that the “sit in the studio all day”-behaviour seems to be more accepted.

Now, I have some good news for all dance (JPL) fans, I have quite a few things coming up, so you’ll hear about 4-5 new JPL-tunes soon. Also, the next Joni Ljungqvist-release on Spinnin’, titled “The World Is Yours” is coming out in the end of september.

Other than that, I have to inform you that I am as of now, putting most of my focus onto an extended player, which, if all goes right, will be released for free. Let me make it clear however that this will not be JPL-material, and is more drawn to laidback electropop than trance. Electropop as an genre has been following me closely ever since I started making music, and was nearly taking over at one point (3 Out of 4 Dentists failed miserably after both the US- and japanese label went bankrupt hah). That is why I’m happy to finally put my efforts in that place now, and I feel the time is right for it too. I will keep you updated on the progress on the web and hopefully some of the JPL-fans will be able to enjoy that material too.

How’s everyone been during the crazy summer? Hope you have all been fantastic, as I have.

Since I haven’t updated since June, I thought I’d give up an update on the things going on.

For the people who have been following me on SoundCloud, you’d notice  that I’m experimenting in the studio a bit. This is to get myself motivated and inspired as I feel I’ve been doing pretty much the same thing for the past couple of years. Either way, I hope you’ll enjoy some of the things, and do not miss the freebie remix for Nina Kinert’s “Combat Lover”! Also, “The World Is Yours” (lifted from the old Pan Am-slogan) is signed to Spinnin’ and is set to be the new Joni Ljungqvist-single.

I had Maarten Hercules over for a stay too, and we managed to start up Pax Royale again (with a new direction) which is currently under production. We also finished a progressive trancer togheter with my brother, Jimi (yes, named after the late mr. Hendrix) which is signed and due to be released on a fine label.
